Muslims of France

Role: Concept/Illustrator/Animator

Scope: A title sequence for a three-episode news programme exploring the lives of Muslims and immigrants in France. Each word constructs itself on screen before deconstructing and breaking apart, the typography physically acting out the experience it describes. The original storyboard included social pressure, but tension replaced it in the final cut, a small change that made the sequence land harder. Until finally, all those scattered letters reassemble into one: Muslims of France.

Egypt's Choice

Role: Concept/Illustrator/Animator

Scope: A backdrop animation conceived, illustrated, and animated for a news segment covering the Egyptian Arab Spring. Using reference imagery from the protests, I illustrated the entire wall in a graffiti style to sit behind the presenter, a nod to the real graffiti that covered Egypt's streets during the revolution. The wall was then animated to bring the chaos and energy of the protests to life, set to the iconic Egyptian chant calling for the government to step down.

Torath

Role: Animator

Scope: This is a logo animation for Torath Production. Real ink footage, filmed in a water tank, was warped and shaped in After Effects to form the logo, the ink blooms then dissolves to reveal the mark. The sound design mirrors the visual: an old film reel click to open, a whoosh as the ink flows through, a rewind as it fades, and the quiet punctuation of a camera shutter, each sound a nod to what Torath does best, film and photography.

Dukkantek

Role: Concept/Designer/Animator

Scope: An animation aimed at recruiting people to bring Dukkantek's technology to local baqalas. The goal was to make the opportunity feel as clear and accessible as possible, letting the animation do the heavy lifting, keeping it simple, seamless, and easy to follow. I storyboarded every frame first, which made the animation process smooth, and I also voiced the video to bring it all together.
